What is an Apostille stamp and where can I get it from?
A: The documents you
will send us must be authenticated for use abroad. This is also
called legalization of the document. Authentication means that a
seal is placed on the document which will be recognized in the foreign
country where the document will be used and that is the Apostille
stamp.
What is Legalisation?
Legalisation simply means confirming that a signature, seal
or stamp appearing on a document is genuine. It does not mean that
the content of a document is accurate or that the Foreign &
Commonwealth office approves of the content.
Why do documents need to be Legalised?
If you are going to use British documents overseas, for business
or personal reasons, you will probably be asked to have your documents
stamped by us before they can be accepted. If you are not sure what
documents need to be legalised you should contact the authority
who require the documents. Advice can often be found at the relevant
embassy in London.
How do we Legalise documents?
We check the signature, seal or stamp that appears on the document
against our database and then attach an apostille (legalisation
certificate) which confirms it is genuine.
How can I get my documents Legalised?
You can send your documents to us by post or bring them to our public
counter in London for a same day service. The fee for legalisation
is £19.00 per document.
How many days before the wedding you need our paperwork?
The latest 30 days before the wedding BUT before you send them to
us, you have to fax them or email them to check them and tell you
if they are ok or if something is missing. If you send them without
our confirmation and the papers are not correct, the wedding will
be cancelled
If for some reason our papers are not in your hands, what happens?
The wedding will be either cancelled or you can have a symbolic
ceremony which is exactly as the regular wedding ceremony but it
will not be legal, it will be like vows renewal but your guests
will not know the difference
Can I get married anywhere in Lindos?
No. although Lindos is big, there are only a two places that we
have permission to use for civil ceremonies. Saint paul bay and
Lindos mare hotel gardens.
Why should I use a wedding consulant?
You will gain the experience of someone sho is proficient in planning
and coordination. You will reduce stress and save time.
Will my marriage be legally recognized in the UK?
Y es, if you sign the papers in the destination.
When will I receive my wedding certificate?
In about 20 days after your wedding, as the certificates have to
be translated in Greek. As soon as are translated we post them to
you.
